  • Update

So you guys want an update, eh?

Well.... School is rolling along.  Doing Calc 1 and Phil 170(Logic).  I'm barely scraping by in Calc, probably because it's been so long since I did any kind of math.  I'll see about taking it again this summer, as one of those 8 week courses or something.  My procrastination totally kills me.

I've been jobless for almost a month and a half now, which has taken it's toll.  Ever since I left FedEx, it's been a money crunch, and I've become anchored in front of my computer.  I have so little to spend. T_T

I stopped posting here for a certain reason, and since there's only a couple readers... well it fell off the table.

I'll be doing entries now and again, but not every day or twice a day like I used to.  Being so open kinda messed me up.

  • Shoot

Well, I officially own the world's largest paperweight.

The trans on my car died.  I have no way to get around, so getting a job is pretty much pointless ATM.  I have a little cash to buy food until I move in september.  I think my family is gonna float me cash, but the only way they could do it would be via my paypal account, which would be preferrable.

Well, woe is me, but I'm just gonna keep to myself and play guitar.

Oh, just for everyone's info, I move labor day weekend, so if you wanna do something, go ahead and tell me now. :P

  • ...

    I'm alive.

I got back from a 3 day trip to Mexico yesterday at about 2pm.  I got a call from my dad telling me to immediately call my mom.

I called her and found out that my grandmother had an aneurysm saturday evening while sleeping, and was brought to the hospital.  She was pulled from life support at 3:30 pm yesterday.  My mom's mom.  I was very close with her.  I can hardly believe that it happened so suddenly.  My grandfather is in much worse shape than she was.  She seemed so perfectly healthy.

Mom took it hard.  Sunday was Andrew's birthday, as well.  Not quite a celebratory time.  It all makes me very sad.

I'm going to miss my grandma very much.  I love her lots, and I'll miss emailing back and forth.  I feel terrible for not being able to be there with the rest of the family.  I can't even be there for the funeral.

Rest in peace Grandma, I know you're well in heaven now, you're in God's hands.

  • The Weekend.. Again!

So again with the weekend stuff!  Jeez.

Saturday was our Salt River trip.  Good gawd that was one wicked roller coaster.  Seriously.

5 hours of drifting, drinking, and daft tomfoolery.  Yeah, something like that.  I managed to get out of that with tanned arms, burned knees and a slightly (someone's gonna have to tell me how bad it is) burned face.  I also cut up my right hand a little, and my right foot, and it's hard to walk because I'd gotten a cramp in both my calves.   That's the price you pay for having a bitchin time!  Yeah!

Ok, so there's this game that I've been tracking for quite some time.  It's called Pirates of the Burning Sea, being developed by Flying Lab Studios, and published by Cryptic Studios, same people who put out the City of Heroes/Villains games.  I've been watching it for roughly 4 years now, and it was only until about 2 months ago that they started with closed beta.  After waiting so long, and one failed community manager, I got an invite on friday.  It's awesome.  I'd post screenshots if it weren't for the NDA I signed.

Haha, so there's this one girl, right?

    ...

Nah, she'll kill me if I write about her here. lol

Anywho, I'm really tired, and trying to survive the next 2 hours of work, so I can go home and shower, and sleep a bit more.

  • So uh.. yeah, the weekend.

Ok, so friday, I'm the last one to leave work, since I have a boatload of stuff to do with transcripts and the holds list for the school.  Travis comes up to me, after Kathy has a coniption(sp?) fit.  He says his sister, Kim, wants to go out but he doesn't.  He asks me if I'll take her and go hang out.  I've seen her, and after finding out she was 18, I said sure.  Cool.

Friday night we did a little impromptu pool thing/whatever/kickback at Jarred's place.  Good times.  I'd never played Circle of Death before that, but it's sort of a medley of drinking games, and it's a great way to get people talking.  Excellent icebreaker to put it in simpler terms.  After that, me and Nick went to hang out with our buddy Frankie in southern Tempe, Kim slept on the couch at Jarred's.  Cool.

Saturday, we hung out almost all day.  Arrowhead mall, I got a few things, including another pair of shorts.  I'll take a picture later.  We go to Mesa, or wherever the hell the other pool party was at, and played quarters, ate some stuff that was barbeque'd, drank/whatever.  I was the DD.

Mind you, I'm typing this while still intoxicated, so if the logic is skewed, bear with me.

So then after that, we changed back at our respective apartments (Nick, Magos, Kim and me).  Then about 5 or 6, can't remember the time, we headed to the resort for a "Going to Iraq" thing.  Quarters seemed to be the theme of the night for me and Jarred, as we tried to make it into every available container in the entire suite.  Nick and Kim had a moment in the shower and the hot tub.  We were all buzzin, good times.  Get home from that, and pass out, about time.

Sunday, wake up around 11.  Figure I'll watch TV for  a bit, haven't done that in a while.  I finally start thinking:  "Maybe I'll call Jarred, see if Kim's still there, and they might want to go do something today."

We beat around the bush until about 5:30, and then we went to Arrowhead, but it was closed, so we spent a sum total of 8 minutes walking around.  From there, it was off to Desert Ridge, which I figured would still be mostly open, as they have a lot of non-retail shops.  That was fun.  Got some great food.  Paid for a movie:  The Invisible.  I didn't like the ending.  If you like the kid from War of the Worlds, then I suggest you go see it.  He was a complete emo bastard.  After that, we swam for quite a while, and eventually just went home.  Kim slept in my bed, I took my couch.

Finally:  Monday.  Kim wakes me up about 11ish.  I get me sum shorts and a shirt on, and we head to Travis and Alan's place.  I hung out there for a good... 4 or so hours.  Not much else to do Memorial Day, plus, it was hot.  Talked to the family and a few other people, joked around, took pictures etc, and then eventually I gave Kim a good massage.  Good times.  She went out with Beth LaMaster's kid, Adam at around ... 5.  3 hours late. lol

Many random-as-fuck phone calls later, I get everyone together to go to the pool, and then off to Jarred and Mike's apartment, where we have a few games of beer pong before we just chill.  Ben and Kim start makin out on the porch drunkedly, and then everyone decides to 86 it.  I might as well, not much else to do besides bullshit with Mike.  Mike's a cool cat, but I'm drunk, and tired, and I'd prefer something comfortable to lay down on versus a stimulating conversation with a fellow alcoholic.  So I go home, and here I am.

That was my weekend.  Strange, random, awkward, and sensual.  All at once.

I'm going to pass out on this here couch.  I'll see y'all whenever it is I wake up.

  • Oi. I'm a 3rd generation half-finnish. I act older than I am, and I'm emotionless to boot. Movies, coffee, driving, hanging out, talking, gaming, and the outdoors are my favorite things to do. Also, I love music, and I'm always listening.
